The last Android update the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 received was Android 5.0 Lollipop. Click through for help on how to get Marshmallow or Nougat on your Note 3 device. Samsung didn’t want this to repeat with another software upgrade and as such, the company will not be rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the likes of Galaxy S4 and Note 3.

Samsung had already stepped into the deployment of the official TouchWiz Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow firmware for all the premium devices since the beginning of 2016. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of the several devices the manufacturer has been rolling the update to. Earlier we saw the leaked Android 6.0.1 TouchWiz ROM for the Note 4 which was ported to several variants like the Sprint Note 4. Following this, the N910C variant was the first to have received the official TouchWiz Marshmallow firmware from Samsung that includes the regions like some middle European countries, some Asia-Pacific countries like Nepal, India, Indonesia, and Russian region as well. However now, the Note 4 N910H is the latest device to run this new firmware upgrade. We have also seen the 6.0.1 update for carriers in the United States like Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T and some European countries like the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Argentina, Austria, etc. Up next are New Zealand and Australia. The Android M firmware update for the Galaxy Note 4 and several variants come with firmware build number PD5 and PD6 that brings many new features, stability improvements, bug fixes, and April security patches. You will also find firmware build like PD1. This guide will also help you install full stock firmware for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F, N910T, N910C, N910W8, SM-N910H, SM-N910G, SM-N910P, SM-N910S/K/L, etc. Check out screenshots from our Pinterest Board.

This tutorial will teach you how to install CyanogenMod 13 Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device. This version allows you to port the latest version of Android, Android 6.0 Marshmallow to your Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The first devices to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow are the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. In other words, for the many previously released Android devices, there won’t be an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for quite some time (and there is no guarantee that your device will get updated).

You can, however, choose to wait for Samsung to release Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 OR you can get Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your Galaxy Note 3 via the CM13 ROM developed by Morningstar over at xda.

Instructions

In order to install CM13 on your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 you first need to download the CM13 ROM and simply flash it using a custom recovery like TWRP or Cyanogen recovery (which is available for most devices) with a factory reset/wipe data. he necessary downloads are available for you below.

Before you continue, you should note that you would be required to download and install the necessary Gapps package for your version of Android. Currently we have a Gapps 5.1 Lollipop Download page but for this ROM you will need the Gapps 6.0 Marshmallow Download.
